A little over a year ago, I was suggesting that Figshare should offer some paying plans in order to allow some advanced users to upload large files that exceeded the possibilities of free plan (See Figshare: Take my data! Take my money!). I was very pleased when they announced new premium (i.e. paying) plans at the end of 2013. We subscribed to the most expensive plan but soon realized that we still needed more space. Since then we have been working with the Figshare team to bring you a first data set close to 50GB in size. This is the series of raw images we have collected to measure the noise affecting the transcription of 16 cell cycle regulators in yeast. The data were presented and analyzed in a paper entitled “Measurement and modeling of transcriptional noise in the cell cycle regulatory network” published in Cell Cycle. Check out the data here.
